Unlike the other chutneys, that can be served as an accompaniment with my savouries and snacks, sandwich chutney serves the specific purpose of having this chutney with Sandwich, or especially Bombay grill sandwich. Though the purpose of the chutney is to be served or applied on the Sandwich, you can still serve as an accompaniment with many spicy snacks to enhance the flavour. Below is my recipe of Sandwich Green Chutney. Hope you will like it.
Ingredients:
- Coriander leaves – 1 cup
- Mint leaves – 1 cup
- Green chilli- 1-2
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Jeera powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Dried Mango Powder – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
Method:
Add coriander and mint leaves, green chilli, ginger, jeera powder, dried mango powder, lemon juice and salt into a mixer jar. Add little water and grind to make the chutney. Add more water if required. Apply the chutney on inner side of the Sandwich bread and prepare your sandwich. Also, serve it with hot Bombay Toast Sandwiches.
